Sorry I haven't updated the past couple of days. I am currently at my boyfriend's parent's house. I couldn't get the internet to work and blah, blah, blah. Good news is, I am here to post!

I've titled this blog frustrations because, well, I have been having a ton of frustrations lately. My very own Pit Bull, Addie, is 9 months old and is driving me a little crazy. Don't get me wrong, I love her very much but she has been driving me crazy. She is still hyper and jumping and pulling on her leash, et cetera, et cetera. Some days she is so good and other days it is just awful. Any advice? I'd love to hear from you.

My other frustration is coming from other sources. The other day I was taking Addie for a walk as a man on bicycle rode by. He saw her and yelled to me as he was still riding, "Is that a boy?" I promptly replied, "No, she is a girl." Then he just kept riding and said she was pretty. That is not the first time I have gotten this question. I always get a little concerned when I get asked that question because I don't really know why they would want to know. Anyone else get asked those sorts of questions?

My next frustration comes from my boyfriend's grandmother. She is pretty much the queen of believing every thing she hears. I am pretty sure that she thinks Addie is going to maul us and kill us any day now. Every day that we are here is every day that I have to hear her talk badly about Addie. I will probably bite through my tongue for as much as I am going to have to bite my tongue this week.

In the near future, as in a couple of days, I am going to write another "I'd Like You to Meet" blog featuring (hopefully) one of your Pit Bulls. All you need to do is leave a comment on this entry OR you can email me at I would love to have a couple pictures and some info about your pup; such as age, favorite things to do, tricks, funny stories, pretty much anything! I'm doing this because I hope that when the Pit Bull haters come to read they can read about NICE pit bulls with great owners, in other words real pit bulls.

  1. Oh, I so feel your pain with a 9 month old pit. At that age they're strong enough to yank you down the street, but they've still got puppy brains so they don't get it. Typical adolescent behavior whether you're talking about a pit or a person:-) We stuck with our training routine - and stepped up the sit/stay commands during walks so we could get her used to focusing on us. It gets better, trust me. We also put pink or purple collars on Rosie so everyone knows that she's a girlie girl. I remind myself that's nicer to have someone ask about my dog than tell me what a vicious animal they think she is.
